Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Global Diaspora News published an article on a conference to take place March 22-25. In the lead-up to the UN 2021 Food Systems Summit, multi-sector leaders will come together to discuss the latest trends and investment opportunities into game-changing innovations for more sustainable and resilient food production systems in the Middle East region. The panel will discuss WorldFish’s innovations in Egypt that have transformed the region into a global powerhouse for sustainable aquaculture production. Senior research assistant Lina Alaaeldin Abdelfattah will speak on IFPRI’s Contribution to Food and Nutrition Security in the MENA Region Before and After COVID.
