Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Fisheries Commission to regulate aquaculture (Graphic Online)

Graphic Online (Ghana) published an article stating that the Fisheries Commission has developed a new requirement to regulate aquaculture in the country in order to help increase farm productivity and ensure safe and quality fish for the market. It is being spearheaded by IFPRI, the Water Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (WRI-CSIR), and KIT Royal Tropical Institute of The Netherlands and WorldFish under the Tilapia Seed Project.  Also published in Business Ghana, and Ghana Guardian
