Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Climate smart agriculture launched in South Asia (Pro Kerala)

Pro Kerala published an article on how IFPRI in partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC), and SAARC Development Fund (SDF) have launched a project for scaling up climate smart agriculture in South Asia. The consortium kicked-off with an initial pilot investment of about $3.1 million provided by IFAD, SAC, IFPRI and SDF. The partner organizations believe that the size of investment will grow in the coming years.
