Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Foodtank published an article on organizations to watch in 2022. These organizations and networks are building more resilient and equitable food systems through research, policy action, programming, and more. Making the list is IFPRI. IFPRI works in more than 50 countries to provide research-based policy solutions intended to reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition. Research topics include agricultural extension, climate change, capacity strengthening, and food prices.
